English-Spanish OPI/VRI Interpreter – Sign-On Bonus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective and precise communication between individuals who speak English and Spanish.

• Provide a combination of Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

• Interpret in medical, social service, customer care, and financial contexts.

• Employ consecutive interpretation techniques.

• Uphold professionalism, impartiality, confidentiality, and accuracy in all interactions.

• Operate remotely from a quiet space while adhering to attendance, schedule, quality, and operating standards.

• Fulfill recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding requirements prior to the October 2026 start date.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of six months of verifiable professional experience in providing remote English-Spanish OPI and/or VRI interpretation.

• Advanced proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, possessing excellent comprehension and active listening abilities.

• Capability to deliver accurate, complete, impartial, and professional consecutive interpretation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of medical, financial, and social service terminology.

• Awareness of patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA-related requirements.

• Exceptional attention to detail, active listening skills, emotional composure, and the ability to remain neutral in sensitive circumstances.

• Dedication to attendance, adherence to schedules, quality benchmarks, and established operational procedures.

• Ability to work independently in a quiet, professional setting.

• A stable and reliable internet connection with an Ethernet cable directly connected to the router or modem; Wi-Fi is not permitted.

• An approved USB headset compatible with clients; Bluetooth headsets, mono headsets, and built-in microphones are not allowed.

• A computer with an Intel Core i5 processor, 6th generation or newer.

• A webcam with a resolution of 720p or 1080p.

• An updated version of Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox browser.

• A quiet, distraction-free workspace suitable for confidential interpretation sessions.

• Availability to complete recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding before the assigned start date.
