English-Spanish OPI/VRI Interpreter – Sign-On Bonus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective and precise communication between individuals who speak English and Spanish.

• Deliver blended Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) as well as Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

• Provide interpretation services in medical, social service, customer care, and financial contexts.

• Employ consecutive interpretation techniques.

• Uphold professionalism, impartiality, confidentiality, and accuracy at all times.

• Complete recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding requirements prior to the assigned start date.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of six months of verifiable professional experience in providing remote English-Spanish OPI and/or VRI interpretation.

• Advanced fluency in English at a minimum C1 level, with strong oral and written communication skills.

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, coupled with excellent comprehension and active listening abilities.

• Capability to provide accurate, complete, impartial, and professional consecutive interpretation.

• In-depth knowledge of medical, financial, and social service terminology.

• Familiarity with patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA-related requirements.

• Exceptional attention to detail, active listening skills, emotional composure, and the ability to maintain neutrality in sensitive situations.

• Commitment to attendance, adherence to schedules, quality standards, and established operating procedures.

• Ability to work independently within a quiet, professional environment.

• Reliable wired internet connection with an Ethernet cable directly connected to the router or modem; Wi-Fi is not permitted.

• Approved client-compatible USB headset; Bluetooth headsets, mono headsets, and built-in microphones are not allowed.

• Computer must have an Intel Core i5 processor, 6th generation or newer.

• Webcam with 720p or 1080p resolution is required.

• Updated versions of Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox browsers are necessary.

• A quiet, distraction-free workspace that is suitable for confidential interpretation sessions.

• Availability to fulfill recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding requirements before the assigned start date.
