English-Spanish OPI/VRI Interpreter – Sign-On Bonus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Ensure effective and precise communication between individuals who speak English and Spanish.

• Deliver a combination of Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

• Provide interpretation services in medical, social service, customer care, and financial contexts.

• Employ consecutive interpretation methods.

• Uphold standards of professionalism, impartiality, confidentiality, and accuracy.

• Fulfill recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding prerequisites prior to the designated start date.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of six months of documented professional experience in providing remote English-Spanish OPI and/or VRI interpretation.

• Advanced proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level, with strong spoken and written communication abilities.

• Native or native-level fluency in Spanish, along with excellent comprehension and active listening skills.

• Capability to provide accurate, complete, impartial, and professional consecutive interpretation.

• Comprehensive understanding of medical, financial, and social service terminology.

• Awareness of patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA-related regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail, active listening, emotional stability, and the capacity to remain neutral in sensitive situations.

• Dedication to attendance, adherence to schedules, quality standards, and established operating procedures.

• Ability to work independently in a quiet, professional setting.

• Stable and reliable wired internet connection, with Ethernet directly connected to the router or modem; Wi-Fi is not allowed.

• Approved client-compatible USB headset; Bluetooth headsets, mono headsets, and integrated microphones are not permitted.

• Computer equipped with Intel Core i5, 6th generation or newer.

• Webcam capable of 720p or 1080p resolution.

• Up-to-date versions of Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox browsers.

• A quiet, distraction-free workspace suitable for confidential interpretation sessions.
