English-Spanish OPI/VRI Interpreter – Sign-On Bonus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Ensure effective and precise communication between individuals who speak English and Spanish.

• Deliver a combination of Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

• Provide interpretation services in medical, social service, customer care, and financial contexts.

• Utilize consecutive interpretation methods.

• Uphold professionalism, impartiality, confidentiality, and accuracy in all interactions.

• Adhere to established attendance, scheduling, quality benchmarks, and operational protocols.

• Fulfill technical verification and client onboarding requirements prior to the designated start date.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of six months of documented professional experience in remote English-Spanish OPI and/or VRI interpretation.

• Proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, with outstanding comprehension and active listening skills.

• Capability to provide accurate, complete, impartial, and professional consecutive interpretation.

• Comprehensive understanding of medical, financial, and social service vocabulary.

• Awareness of patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA-related regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail, active listening skills, emotional stability, and the ability to remain neutral in sensitive contexts.

• Dedication to attendance, schedule compliance, quality standards, and established operational procedures.

• Ability to work autonomously in a quiet, professional setting.

• A stable and reliable wired internet connection using an Ethernet cable directly connected to a router or modem; Wi-Fi is not acceptable.

• An approved client-compatible USB headset; Bluetooth headsets, mono headsets, and built-in microphones are prohibited.

• A computer with an Intel Core i5 processor, 6th generation or newer.

• A webcam with either 720p or 1080p resolution.

• An updated version of Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox browser.

• A quiet, distraction-free workspace suitable for confidential interpretation sessions.

• Availability to complete recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding prior to the assigned start date in October 2026.
