English-Spanish OPI/VRI Interpreter – Sign-On Bonus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective and precise communication between individuals who speak English and Spanish.

• Provide combined Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) services.

• Interpret in various contexts including medical, social services, customer care, and financial environments.

• Employ consecutive interpretation techniques for clarity and accuracy.

• Uphold professionalism, impartiality, confidentiality, and accuracy at all times.

• Complete recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding processes prior to the designated start date.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of six months of verifiable professional experience in providing remote English-Spanish OPI and/or VRI interpretation.

• Advanced English proficiency at a C1 level or higher, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Native or near-native Spanish fluency, possessing excellent comprehension and active listening skills.

• Capability to deliver accurate, complete, impartial, and professional consecutive interpretation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of medical, financial, and social service terminology.

• Familiarity with patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA-related regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail, active listening, emotional stability, and the ability to maintain neutrality in sensitive situations.

• Commitment to punctuality, adherence to schedules, quality standards, and established operational procedures.

• Ability to work independently in a quiet, professional setting with a stable wired internet connection.

• A stable and reliable internet connection using an Ethernet cable connected directly to the router or modem; Wi-Fi connections are not permitted.

• A compatible USB headset approved by the client; Bluetooth headsets, mono headsets, and built-in microphones are not allowed.

• A computer equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor, 6th generation or newer.

• A webcam capable of 720p or 1080p resolution.

• An updated browser such as Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox.

• A quiet, distraction-free workspace suitable for confidential interpretation sessions.

• Availability to fulfill recruitment, technical verification, and client onboarding requirements before the assigned start date.
