English Instructor – FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students the essential English skills to foster a deep understanding of topics and achieve high scores on college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor your students' advancement through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum.

• Involve students in personalized growth and enhancement opportunities throughout their learning journey.

• Exhibit professionalism and exceptional organizational capabilities.

• Manage and update student lesson schedules using our online platform.

• Ensure that students are accountable for their assignments.

• Lead the creation and innovative implementation of continually evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide and support middle and high school students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.) (Master’s or higher is preferred).

• At least one year of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center.

• A GPA of 3.5 or above.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language.

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Must have access to a stable internet connection and a quiet workspace with minimal distractions.
