This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students essential English skills to foster a long-term comprehension of subjects and achieve top scores on their college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor your students' progress as they advance through Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing them with personalized growth and improvement opportunities throughout the journey.

• Demonstrate professionalism and excellent organizational skills by responding to students promptly, updating and maintaining student lesson schedules on our online platform, and ensuring accountability for assignments.

• Led the creation and innovative implementation of continuously evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students with compassion and a deep understanding that the college application process is increasingly competitive and stressful.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.) (Master’s degree or higher preferred).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English and/or experience in a college-level Writing Center.

• A GPA of 3.5 or above.

• Exceptional verbal skills and a strong command of the English language.

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

• Must have access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace that minimizes noise and distractions.
