
Engineering Technician – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Become a member of Ducks Unlimited's conservation team committed to fulfilling its mission.
• Support a regional team in implementing wetland, riparian, and related habitat restoration initiatives.
• Act as Ducks Unlimited's representative on construction projects.
• Conduct inspections to ensure contractors adhere to plans, specifications, and standards.
• Create inspection reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Utilize surveying instruments to assist with construction surveys.
• Collaborate with Regional Engineers and other Technicians on administrative responsibilities.
• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering Technology Degree with no more than twelve (12) months left until graduation.
• Familiarity and expertise in surveying techniques.
• Proven ability to collaborate with both public and private conservation partners.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to operate ATVs and outboard boats in diverse environments.
• Self-driven and goal-oriented.
• Openness to work outside standard business hours.
• Willingness to work autonomously.
• Readiness to travel out of town and stay overnight regularly.
• Ability to perform tasks in adverse weather conditions.
• Competence to work with minimal supervision in remote settings.
• Submission of a resume, cover letter, and three professional references is required.
