Engineering Technician II – Distribution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Work closely with project teams to guarantee adherence to standards and regulations for Electrical Distribution Systems.

• Create and assess project design packages utilizing Pole Foreman, Maximo, GDT, and/or AutoCAD.

• Implement client, industry, and regulatory standards on existing components of the distribution system.

• Assist the Engineering Manager with various project assignments.

• Oversee project performance and manage customer relationships for the distribution team.

• Detect and address issues as they arise.

• Evaluate finished designs and design products for compliance with client, industry, regulatory, quality, and consistency standards.

• Engage in communication with internal teams, clients, and regulatory representatives.

• Sustain productivity in a dynamic environment.

• Recognize and advocate for training opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• AA/AS Degree or 2 years of formal post-secondary specialized training (technical school/certifications) is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required to qualify for an Engineer title; candidates lacking a bachelor's degree may be considered for a Technician-level position based on experience.

• 1-3+ years of experience in Utility Distribution design utilizing Pole Foreman, Maximo, GDT, AutoCAD, or comparable software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Understanding of electrical distribution system design engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.

• Capability to apply client, industry, and regulatory standards to existing distribution system components.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong dedication to customer service and client satisfaction.

• Capacity to manage a variety of projects and meet deadlines.

• Exceptional document management and organizational skills.
