Engineering Manager – Team Lead, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead a diverse team of 5–10 engineers specializing in backend, frontend, mobile, and QA.

• Deliver products that provide value to hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.

• Collaborate with the product manager to critically assess problem framing and prioritize business outcomes.

• Balance the delivery of features with considerations for technical debt and system scalability.

• Make informed technical decisions through clear trade-offs and assist the team in overcoming obstacles when necessary.

• Conduct 1:1 meetings, develop growth plans, and oversee hiring and promotions.

• Foster engaged teams through constructive feedback and coaching.

• Enhance team productivity by implementing better tools and processes.

• Ensure predictable delivery in collaboration with Product and Design teams.

• Proactively communicate priorities, risks, and constraints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, particularly with data-intensive production systems.

• A proven history of leading cross-functional engineering teams effectively.

• Practical experience with at least one of the following: C#/.NET, Java/JVM, JavaScript/Node, or Go.

• Extensive knowledge of distributed architectures, databases, messaging, and queuing systems.

• Experience in product-driven organizations, ideally with a global focus.

• Strong business insight, linking engineering efforts to revenue, retention, and trust metrics.

• Proficiency with DAU/MAU, retention, and conversion funnel metrics.

• Excellent communication skills in English, effective across all audience levels.

• Familiarity with .NET Core, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, React, Swift/Kotlin, Python/ML frameworks, and contemporary QA tools.
