Engineering Manager – Stream Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and build high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams focused on developing large-scale machine data processing applications.

• Advocate for technical excellence by establishing high standards for design, code quality, and system reliability.

• Take an active role when necessary, offering code reviews, architectural guidance, and technical support to remove obstacles for the team.

• Drive projects from inception to completion, encompassing idea generation, design, implementation, and testing.

• Cultivate a customer-focused culture, ensuring the team is dedicated to delivering outstanding products that satisfy clients.

• Attract, recruit, and develop top talent while fostering an inclusive and diverse team environment.

• Collaborate closely with other leaders to ensure alignment across cross-functional teams and meet company-wide objectives.

• Balance immediate problem-solving with long-term strategic planning to promote sustainable innovation.

• Work effectively with product management and operations teams to shape, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap.

• This role will entail stand-by, on-call, or off-hours responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading distributed engineering teams with an emphasis on collaboration and efficient delivery.

• Strong technical proficiency in designing and constructing scalable, distributed systems.

• Practical experience in developing high-scale data streaming systems.

• Background in building and deploying software in a SaaS environment.

• Demonstrated capability to hire, train, and mentor high-performing engineers throughout all phases of software development and maintenance.

• Experience managing remote teams in a dynamic, Agile setting is a significant advantage.

• Comfortable engaging directly with customers to resolve technical issues and collaborate on feature improvements.

• Proven track record of establishing and advancing robust engineering practices and processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, along with 10+ years of industry experience.

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role as a team lead or engineering manager.
