Engineering Manager – O&M

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the engineering teams tasked with operating and maintaining a substantial federal enterprise cloud platform.

• Responsible for the performance, delivery, and technical integrity of the platform.

• Collaborate with program leadership to achieve scope, schedule, and quality objectives.

• Take ownership of delivery accountability for the platform's stability, security, and performance.

• Establish technical direction in areas including cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), DevSecOps, and reliability.

• Handle hiring, performance evaluations, timecard reviews, PTO, and team growth.

• Coordinate with program and government leadership on planning, priority setting, and reporting.

• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across the engineering portfolio.

• Ensure compliance with security, compliance, and ATO sustainment standards.

• Promote a culture centered on operational excellence and ongoing improvement.

• Assist in recruiting and developing robust, high-performance teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of experience; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.

• Proven experience in leading and managing technical engineering teams.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure operations and maintenance on a large scale.

• Experience in managing delivery within an Agile or SAFe framework.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust / suitability determination.
