This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the entire design of substations and is accountable for their overall performance.
• Conduct thorough quality reviews, offer technical guidance, and collaborate with the Project Manager regarding scheduling and budgeting.
• Oversee and coordinate all technical facets of AC power substation projects.
• Create and manage key design deliverables.
• Responsible for guiding and assisting engineers and designers to adhere to technical specifications, budget limitations, and project deadlines.
• Foster cross-discipline collaboration to provide fully integrated solutions for substations.
• Review and contribute to the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) process deliverables.
• Assist with vendor engagement and the selection of equipment.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least 12 years of experience in industrial or utility High Voltage (+138kV) substation design, or a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% (including internationally), in accordance with company travel and tax policies.
• A Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in good standing within the U.S., with the ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• Familiarity with EHV substation design standards.
• Expertise in essential design calculations such as battery sizing, DC system design, and AC auxiliary power.
• Understanding of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards; capable of developing complete engineering packages without detailed customer specifications.
• Experience in field-testing and commissioning, with a strong focus on safety.
