Engineering Manager – New Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy essential features while addressing complex or ambiguous technical challenges.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of 3–6 engineers located in Pakistan.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings, offer constructive feedback, support career growth, and uphold quality and ownership standards.

• Establish the architecture and technical roadmap for Insurance Verification.

• Decompose the product roadmap, oversee sprint execution, remove obstacles for the team, and ensure timely delivery in accordance with SLAs.

• Collaborate with Product teams to convert requirements into technical specifications.

• Liaise with related RCM pods and AI teams on shared data, pipelines, and integrations.

• Advocate for code reviews, testing, monitoring, on-call practices, and incident-response protocols.

• Communicate updates, risks, and technical considerations to both engineering and product leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering, including practical full-stack or backend development.

• More than 2 years of direct experience in managing or leading engineers, with a background in mentoring and developing talent.

• Strong practical experience in backend development using Python, Java, or Go.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Knowledge of GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Proven experience managing a product area from inception to production, including scoping and technical design.

• Experience in working with distributed teams across different time zones.

• Proficient in managing engineers who are located in different regions.

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or other high-reliability transactional systems is advantageous.

• Previous experience as a player-coach or in a tech-lead role is highly valued.
