This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of software engineers, cultivating a culture of collaboration, learning, and accountability.
• Drive the technical vision in accordance with product objectives, working closely with other engineering and product teams.
• Support the professional development of engineers by offering regular feedback, coaching, and opportunities for growth.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement to identify, develop, and implement process enhancements aimed at increasing efficiency.
• Assist the team in proactively addressing technical debt by dedicating time and resources to refactor and optimize existing systems for long-term stability and scalability.
• Assess new technologies and provide input on best practices while developing proposals and strategies for software design activities.
• Cultivate, develop, and retain a remarkable team of engineers, fostering an environment of excellence and supportive collaboration.
• Coordinate tasks and establish team objectives with an emphasis on achieving strategic business goals.
• Prior experience as a hands-on software engineer with strong technical skills.
• Proven experience in managing and scaling teams of software engineers, ideally in a product-centric environment.
• Strong time management abilities and capability to effectively distribute workload.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and mentor team members.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to align cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in guiding and developing a technical team while working in a transparent and collaborative manner.
