This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Assemble and lead a team of software and production engineers dedicated to delivering Kubernetes solutions to customers, focusing on their onboarding and self-service needs.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery process for production Kubernetes clusters tailored for AI workloads, from the initial request to enablement, qualification, validation, and customer handoff.
• Coordinate comprehensive delivery plans that encompass ownership, dependencies, readiness gates, timelines, risks, status updates, and resolving any blocking issues.
• Collaborate across various teams including platform, runtime, release, fleet operations, CSE, product, TPM, security, and infrastructure.
• Develop integrations that link customer intake and status systems with Kubernetes provisioning, access management, validation processes, and production acceptance criteria.
• Automate routine delivery tasks by creating self-service workflows utilizing APIs, AI tools, and agents.
• Establish service interfaces and continuously measure and enhance delivery speed, readiness, automation, recovery, and customer visibility.
• Define the team's roadmap, manage staffing, and oversee operational responsibilities.
• Recruit, mentor, and cultivate technical leadership within the team.
• A minimum of 8 years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role overseeing engineers.
• Proven experience in developing platform APIs, self-service infrastructure, workflow automation, developer platforms, or systems for customer onboarding.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or production engineering techniques.
• Practical experience with AI coding tools and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Demonstrated capability in integrating multiple systems and teams into a seamless end-to-end workflow.
• Ability to convert customer and operational requirements into well-defined technical interfaces and automated solutions.
• Strong skills in cross-functional leadership, communication, customer empathy, prioritization, and decision-making.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in developing Kubernetes provisioning, infrastructure-as-code, service catalogs, or internal developer platform capabilities.
• Familiarity with Terraform, GitOps, identity and access management, RBAC, APIs, workflow engines, and production-readiness automation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and AI-optimized Kubernetes clusters, including accelerated networking, high-performance storage, GPU scheduling, workload qualification, or large-scale fleet operations.
• Proven success in minimizing onboarding time and reducing operational challenges through automation and self-service solutions.
• A solid track record of combining strong platform engineering skills with a focus on product development and addressing customer needs.
