Engineering Manager – Finance & Supply Chain Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead, manage, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team.

• Establish foundational elements for new financial and supply chain systems.

• Drive the creation of intelligent, automated, and agentic systems.

• Define architecture, develop roadmaps, and create execution plans.

• Convert ambiguous business requirements into clear technical priorities and delivery strategies.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Compliance, Product, and Operations teams.

• Ensure the systems are reliable, well-tested, observable, secure, and resilient.

• Navigate through legacy systems, integrations, data pipelines, regulatory requirements, and agentic workflows.

• Promote a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.

• Provide coaching, constructive feedback, performance management, and career development opportunities.

• Influence team culture, engineering practices, technical strategy, product direction, architecture, and implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in software engineering.

• At least 4 years of experience in leading or managing engineering teams.

• Proven experience in a technical leadership position with accountability for delivery, execution, and team well-being.

• Strong technical acumen in distributed systems, data-intensive applications, automation platforms, or critical business systems.

• Interest in intelligent or agentic systems and complex workflow automation.

• Experience in translating business requirements into engineering priorities.

• Demonstrated success in delivering reliable, well-tested, and maintainable production systems.

• Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, finance, compliance, and operations teams.

• Comfortable operating at the intersection of business processes, regulatory requirements, and technical systems.

• Familiarity with modern application, data, automation, and infrastructure patterns.
