This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and nurture a team of skilled, impactful engineers by providing cultural, technical, and practical leadership.
• Offer ongoing coaching and technical guidance not only to your immediate team but also to the wider engineering department.
• Assume direct responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of the team's output while managing the overall availability and performance of essential services.
• Drive initiatives based on defined objectives and measurable results that align with KPIs.
• Promote best practices in design and usability, developing scalable engines with comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Address escalations from operations and collaborate with various teams to resolve production incidents thoroughly.
• Partner with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap goals while identifying future opportunities and risks.
• Construct highly reliable data services for integration with numerous blockchains.
• Create ETL pipelines to transform and process petabytes of structured and unstructured data in real time.
• Design data models that ensure optimal storage and retrieval, facilitating sub-second latency for querying blockchain data.
• Deploy and monitor extensive database clusters that are both high-performing and highly available.
• Collaborate across functions with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to design and implement new data models that support TRM’s products.
• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in building distributed system architecture, from conceptualization to production.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, along with SQL or SparkSQL.
• Versatility across the full spectrum of data engineering, including:
• Data stores (e.g., ClickHouse, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Redis, and Neo4j)
• Data pipeline and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT, Luigi, Azkaban, Storm)
• Data processing technologies and streaming workflows (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink)
• Deployment and monitoring infrastructure in public cloud platforms (e.g., Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog)
• Experience in loading, querying, and transforming large datasets
• An AI-native mindset: the capability to leverage contemporary AI/ML tools and workflows
