📋 Description

• Actively engage in coding while participating in system design and architectural decisions.

• Frequently assess pull requests, offering insightful feedback to enhance code quality.

• Collaborate with engineers on intricate technical issues, providing guidance without micromanagement.

• Lead significant initiatives from their inception to successful delivery.

• Take charge of the document generation pipeline, which includes templating, PDF rendering, configuration specific to carriers and products, and management of the template lifecycle.

• Oversee multi-channel notification delivery through email, SMS, and physical mail, incorporating third-party provider integrations (such as Lob, SendGrid, Twilio), tracking delivery statuses, and managing webhooks.

• Design strategies for handling delivery failures, including accurately classifying provider errors (e.g., differentiating between user/4xx errors and system/5xx failures), implementing retry logic, managing bounces/complaints, and setting up operational alerts.

• Develop a communication infrastructure driven by compliance for regulatory disclosures, necessary notices, document verification, and comprehensive audit trails for document delivery.

• Establish delivery observability, including reporting delivery failures in data feeds, idempotent retries, and custom monitoring/eventing for template processing.

• Propel operational enhancements such as automating carrier template onboarding, minimizing manual intervention, and optimizing the document-to-delivery lifecycle.

• Facilitate productive engineering ceremonies that encourage collaboration and ongoing improvement.

• Design personalized growth plans for each team member, highlighting strengths and areas for development.

• Offer regular, constructive feedback and create opportunities for engineers to broaden their skill sets.

• Balance technical excellence with business goals.

• Exhibit sound judgment when making technical trade-offs.

• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.

• 8+ years of professional experience in the software industry, including at least 3 years in a management role while maintaining strong coding skills.

• Professional experience with Go is preferred.

• Proficient in using Docker for local software development.

• Familiar with contemporary, scalable system architectures (such as load balancing and horizontal scaling).

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, with comfort in writing ANSI SQL.

• Knowledgeable about API design tools/languages (like Protocol Buffers, Swagger, OpenAPI, etc.).

• Preferred familiarity with cloud computing and Kubernetes (or similar container orchestration solutions).

• Strong technical aptitude; fluency in programming, attention to detail, planning, understanding requirements, verification, and architecture design.

• Experience with GenAI Developer Tooling and Up-leveling Team: Utilized GenAI developer tools to maintain robust, hands-on contributions in complex backend architectures while mentoring engineers on using AI to enhance continuous integration, release strategies, and template onboarding automation. Ensured AI-generated code strictly adhered to microservice design principles and compliance standards.

• In-depth understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including feature inception, system maintenance, continuous integration and release strategies, and GenAI developer tools.

• Ability to monitor key metrics and consistently meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Capacity to comprehend complex technical issues and identify risk areas.

• Ability to delve deeply into technical details when necessary, contributing to the team's codebases at any time.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Proven ability to build and retain high-performing teams.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
