This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead and nurture a high-performing engineering team.
• Facilitate the career advancement of engineers through regular one-on-ones, performance evaluations, and development strategies.
• Oversee recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes.

• Take ownership of team delivery outcomes, velocity, and operational excellence.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Establish technical standards and guide architectural decisions.
• Maintain code quality through reviews and effective management of technical debt.
• Lead the response to production incidents and conduct post-mortem analyses.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, and other stakeholders on roadmaps and interdependencies.
• Manage team capacity, risks, progress, and obstacles.
• Contribute to the technical strategy of the department and drive innovation.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capability to inspire, coach, and mentor engineers.
• Strong technical foundation in software engineering principles and contemporary methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High emotional intelligence and the capacity to build trust.
• Strategic mindset and robust problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to convert business priorities into technical actions.
• Dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, continuous learning, and improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, including the delivery of complex systems.
• 2+ years of direct experience in people management, encompassing performance and career development.
• Proven experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and promoting continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with project budgeting, resource planning, and reporting.
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to provide guidance on technical strategy and align it with business goals.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an MBA.
• Certifications in Agile/Scrum, Leadership, or Cloud Architecture.
• Experience in governance, compliance, or risk management.
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and nurturing an inclusive team culture.
• Experience with scaling teams, distributed systems, and enterprise-level architecture.
