Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Lead significant cross-team initiatives and guide them through to production.

• Participate in quarterly planning and the establishment of the roadmap.

• Evaluate feature designs and ensure compliance with non-functional requirements.

• Manage technical debt and oversee incident response.

• Recruit, assess, and inspire team members.

• Cultivate collaboration across teams and functions to enhance efficiency.

• Promote a culture focused on results and business objectives.

• Track essential performance indicators for the team.

• Guarantee transparency in processes and delivery for stakeholders and partner functions.

• Streamline processes to boost productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in backend engineering, with a solid foundation in developing reliable and scalable systems.

• Experience with Go is a plus.

• More than 2 years as an Engineering Manager, preferably in a dynamic fintech or e-commerce setting.

• Expertise in constructing scalable, distributed systems and managing high-load architectures.

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and microservices architecture.

• Experience in integrating third-party APIs and playing a role in product development.

• A passion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.

• A proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
