This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Supervise and mentor a team of proficient Unity engineers, ensuring they remain motivated, productive, and deliver exceptional work.

• Source, interview, and onboard talented engineering candidates, guiding them through training and mentoring processes.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to assess their performance, provide feedback on work objectives, and assist in their career progression.

• Establish and promote best practice engineering vision, strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance business performance.

• Advocate for and spearhead the development of effective, timely, and current documentation to support research and development, while safeguarding institutional knowledge.

• Maintain a crucial balance between achieving engineering goals and priorities while also addressing commercial needs regarding value, quality, and delivery timelines.

• Recognize organizational challenges and formulate strategies to address risks and uncover opportunities.

• Convey technical issues to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for decision-making.

• Collaborate with Production colleagues to eliminate obstacles to technical delivery, identify iterative enhancements to workflow, and confirm that Engineering capacity aligns with our product roadmap.

• Ensure all products are developed in accordance with COPPA regulatory standards.

• Stay informed about technical advancements, networking opportunities, and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering as an individual contributor.

• More than 5 years of experience in mobile app development, particularly with Unity and C#.

• Proven experience in leading and managing developer teams, with a successful track record of delivering high-quality products on schedule and within budget.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

• Strong grasp of software development best practices and the software development life cycle.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to inspire and motivate team members.

• Ideally, possess experience or knowledge regarding children's play and early childhood education.
