This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and cultivate a high-performing team of engineers by fostering a culture of trust, ownership, and autonomy that enables individuals to excel, make decisions, and pursue personal development.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and go-to-market stakeholders to ensure the team addresses the right challenges - not merely creating the right solutions.
• Remain actively involved in technical decisions, guiding the team through architectural considerations, trade-offs, and complexities without having to make every decision personally.
• Enhance our work processes by identifying bottlenecks, refining procedures, and automating repetitive tasks.
• Clarify ambiguous issues by assisting the team in aligning on priorities, making informed decisions, and executing effectively.
• Balance long-term technical investments with immediate business requirements, ensuring the team achieves sustainable, high-quality results.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement where engineers are empowered to lead and make autonomous decisions.
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams within a dynamic environment where priorities and solutions are not always distinctly defined.
• A proactive approach to tackling ambiguous or unaddressed issues, including the less glamorous intersections between teams.
• Exceptional technical judgment with the capability to engage in-depth in architectural discussions, comprehend trade-offs, and guide technical decision-making.
• Familiarity with a TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystem is advantageous, though we prioritize strong engineering fundamentals over experience with specific languages or frameworks.
• Strong product acumen: able to engage directly with customers, synthesize inputs from various sources, and define how a product should function.
• Effective communication that keeps other teams informed about your team’s objectives, requirements, and progress, while ensuring your team has sufficient context to make sound decisions even in your absence.
• Experience managing in a remote context, preferably with a globally-distributed team.
• Competitive salary bands aligned with market standards.
• A meaningful equity program.
• Comprehensive health benefits for you and your family, with 99% coverage.
• Flexible time-off policies, holidays, and winter shutdowns to allow for rest and relaxation.
• Paid parental leave.
• Remote-first approach, complemented by quarterly team off-sites.
