Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of 5–10 engineers

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, establish career development plans, and provide constructive feedback

• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent

• Promote a culture of learning, inclusion, and engineering excellence

• Guide the prioritization of tasks, address technical challenges, and ensure agile delivery

• Oversee the architecture and implementation of critical features and systems

• Write clean, scalable, and thoroughly tested code

• Establish standards for code quality, security, and system performance

• Lead technical reviews, engage in pair programming, and facilitate knowledge sharing

• Collaborate with Product Management, Executive Leadership, stakeholders, and other technical leads

• Define and execute product features

• Set the long-term engineering vision and system design

• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences and influence product strategy

• Report directly to the VP of Engineering

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of engineering experience

• More than 3 years of experience managing a team of 3 or more engineers

• Strong grasp of design patterns and architectural principles

• Experience in scaling engineering teams within high-growth environments

• Familiarity with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, or microservices

• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js

• Experience with NestJS and PostgreSQL

• Understanding of cloud-native architectures utilizing Kubernetes and Terraform

• Proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing applications

• Ability to work an 8 to 5 EST schedule

• Legal authorization to work in the United States after hiring
