This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of Backend, Frontend, and applied AI and automation engineers.
• Take ownership of the technical vision for SeatGeek’s primary support tools (both custom and SaaS) along with integrations.
• Quickly develop and refine tools to enhance fan experience while ensuring a high level of operational excellence throughout the platform.
• Conduct code and architecture reviews, offering technical and design insights to the team.
• Provide consistent job performance feedback, conduct one-on-ones, and offer career development assistance to your direct reports.
• Collaborate with your Technical and Product counterparts to create a compelling vision and direction for the team that aligns with organizational and business objectives.
• Choose new technology vendors and collaborate with existing ones as necessary, making build or buy decisions with your team.
• Occasionally engage directly in delivering features and iterating across the platform.
• Communicate technical and product decisions effectively to relevant stakeholders, resolve blocking issues, and work together with other leaders within the organization.
• Actively participate in our recruitment process to help expand our engineering team in every possible way.
• 5+ years of experience as an engineer in a role primarily focused on coding.
• 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager leading productive, motivated teams.
• Demonstrated success in guiding teams to deliver industry-leading user experiences that significantly enhance high-stakes customer interactions.
• Experience contributing to end-to-end customer support experience software within a marketplace product organization is preferred.
• Proven ability to build and lead efficient teams, ensuring they remain productive, motivated, and capable of achieving significant results.
• Capability to cultivate safe, collaborative, and inclusive environments where engineers are empowered to perform at their best.
• Comfort operating without a predefined playbook, simultaneously defining architecture, team workflows, and the roadmap.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences, accurately reflecting the team's efforts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the technology sector and customer support tools and workflows, aiding your team in making informed tooling and framework choices for success.
• Understanding of how to lead by establishing context, facilitating collaboration, and securing buy-in among cross-functional partners in product, design, engineering, and leadership.
• Prior experience as an Engineer, familiar with the challenges of that role, ideally with hands-on experience in:
• Developing custom tools to enhance support agent efficiency and create exceptional fan outcomes.
• Optimizing AI agents by building the tools, methods, and workflows for empowered and effective customer service agents.
