Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, mentor, and assist a team of approximately 9 engineers within the Runtime function.

• Foster a positive, trust-filled team environment emphasizing effective people management and team wellbeing.

• Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of complex technical workstreams.

• Clearly and pragmatically negotiate timelines and delivery trade-offs with stakeholders.

• Acquire sufficient technical knowledge to engage in architectural discussions and assist in translating them into actionable plans.

• Collaborate closely with technical leaders and contributors to ensure project momentum and remove obstacles to delivery.

• Enhance team processes, communication, and delivery reliability in a distributed setting.

• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of team members as the organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading engineering or highly technical teams in a capacity such as Engineering Manager or Technical Project Manager.

• Strong people management abilities, demonstrated by a history of cultivating healthy teams and facilitating individual growth.

• Exceptional project and delivery management skills, encompassing planning, dependency management, and communication with stakeholders.

• Adequate technical expertise to comprehend complex system architectures and collaborate effectively with senior engineers.

• Comfortable in a role that emphasizes leadership and delivery over hands-on coding tasks.

• Sound judgment in balancing technical complexity, team welfare, and delivery results.

• Experience in working with distributed teams, preferably across Europe or closely aligned European time zones.

• Preferred: experience in technical or infrastructure-intensive environments.
