Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers dedicated to Hudl's Fan and Club products.

• Develop and implement team-level strategies that align with Hudl's overarching vision.

• Set the direction for various teams while ensuring competitiveness in the market.

• Manage and mentor engineers across all experience levels, from senior professionals to those new to their careers.

• Cultivate leadership skills and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Drive exceptional performance across teams.

• Collaborate with leaders from different disciplines to plan and execute product enhancements.

• Guide teams in creating robust, scalable cloud solutions.

• Address complex technical challenges and promote engineering excellence.

• Accelerate the software development lifecycle by adopting AI development tools and methodologies.

• Partner with Product Management and Design to deliver Fan experiences and Club tools.

• Significant experience in cloud technologies and the development of highly scalable software solutions.

• Proven history of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems that efficiently scale to manage millions of livestreams and ticket sales.

• Experience in shaping technical strategy and leading engineering initiatives.

• Skilled in establishing technical direction for product areas and guiding teams towards successful results.

• Strong managerial experience in leading engineering teams.

• Competence in career coaching and performance management.

• An AI-forward mindset with a strong inclination for proactive engineering practices.

• Experience with AI coding tools.

• Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach across various disciplines and teams.

• Experience working closely with Product Managers to define and solidify team roadmaps.

• Remote candidates must reside in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

• Experience in video processing and storage, including ffmpeg or HLS, RTMP, SRT protocols, is a plus.

• Background in transaction processing and financial systems, including Stripe, Stripe Connect, and financial ledgers, is a plus.

• Professional experience in TypeScript, React, GraphQL, C#, MongoDB, and AWS is a plus.

• Experience in React Native or native iOS/Android development is an asset.

• Familiarity with hybrid or remote teams is beneficial.
