Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Lead a team to deliver value to customers by managing projects from planning through to delivery, quality assurance, and follow-through.

• Establish milestones and drive execution amidst ambiguity and competing priorities.

• Deliver in small, measurable increments.

• Make decisive choices and guide the team through those decisions.

• Create an effective operational rhythm for the team.

• Ensure that solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure.

• Uphold robust peer-review, QA, documentation, deployment, logging, and monitoring practices.

• Engage in design reviews, architecture discussions, and incident management.

• Mentor direct reports and provide opportunities for their development.

• Recruit, onboard, and manage employee performance.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance team velocity and prototyping capabilities.

• Collaborate across engineering and other departments to align initiatives with customer success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience managing engineers in a SaaS environment, B2B or B2C, preferably in an early-to-mid-stage company.

• Proven track record of driving execution with tangible delivery outcomes, milestones, deadlines, and accountability.

• Strong technical foundation with the capability to engage in architecture discussions and design reviews.

• Recent experience in delivering substantial work products.

• Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and minimal prescribed structure.

• Ability to create clarity and make challenging trade-offs between competing priorities.

• Proven AI-native leadership with the ability to integrate AI-first practices into team development.

• Experience in building high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative teams.

• Clear, concise, and direct communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Successful completion of background checks and employment verifications.
