This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, expand, and nurture a full-stack engineering team, which includes hiring, onboarding, conducting 1:1s, managing performance, and fostering career development.
• Coach and mentor engineers while fostering an environment conducive to high performance.
• Establish team direction, objectives, and priorities by translating product strategy into a well-defined execution plan.
• Oversee the complete delivery of full-stack product features encompassing frontend, backend, and APIs.
• Guide architectural decisions, review technical work, and resolve complex challenges.
• Manage architectural choices and technical debt.
• Set standards for code quality, testing, performance, observability, and operational accountability.
• Address ambiguous issues and adjust plans in response to changing priorities.
• Eliminate technical, procedural, and cross-team obstacles.
• Hold the team accountable for results while sustaining delivery momentum.
• Collaborate with Product Management for business alignment, planning, and resource allocation.
• Work with engineering, platform, and QA teams to ensure seamless feature integration and quality assurance.
• Enhance broader organizational processes, standards, and operational methodologies.
• Continuously refine Agile practices, team productivity, quality, and delivery.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• More than 2 years of direct management or leadership experience with engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop full-stack engineering teams, including both distributed and hybrid teams.
• Strong technical expertise in modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React, as well as backend services and APIs.
• Proven track record of delivering complex product features from start to finish within established timelines.
• Capable of defining ambiguous challenges, devising plans, and executing them to completion.
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience with Kotlin or similar JVM backend services is preferred.
• Comfort in owning production services, including CI/CD, observability, reliability, and operational accountability is preferred.
• Experience navigating teams through reorganizations, shifts in roadmaps, or rapid growth is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Product Management and designers is preferred.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and enhancing engineering productivity is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States upon hiring.
