This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the strategy and architecture of our TypeScript-based API infrastructure, focusing on code quality, maintainability, and scalability as we expand.
• Take ownership of the public API domain from start to finish, overseeing technical architecture and revenue growth, while ensuring it remains a high-quality platform that developers appreciate.
• Oversee our data and analytics infrastructure, guaranteeing data integrity, security, and accessibility for teams throughout the organization.
• Direct and develop a team of 4-6 platform engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering teams to facilitate the launch of new features, providing platform support and ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend functionalities.
• Manage essential data pipelines and metrics that influence business decisions across Finance (cost-of-sales, revenue attribution), Support (usage analytics, error tracking), and Product (feature adoption, performance metrics).
• Work cross-functionally with leadership to establish priorities, communicate progress, and align platform investments with business objectives.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering manager or team lead position, with a proven history of building and scaling high-performing teams.
• At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience, with particular expertise in operating TypeScript services in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Strong product sensibility and business insight – you recognize how technical decisions influence revenue, customer satisfaction, and company metrics.
• Experience managing revenue-generating platforms or products, with knowledge of API economics, usage-based pricing, and developer experience.
• A solid grounding in data engineering and analytics, including familiarity with metrics pipelines, data modeling, and business intelligence tools.
• Expertise in database management, particularly in handling production databases at scale, data migrations, and assuring data integrity.
• Exceptional cross-functional communication abilities – you can translate technical ideas for business teams, articulate business constraints to engineers, and foster consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration – you can make informed trade-offs between perfection and practicality in a fast-paced startup setting.
