Engineering Manager – Analytics

📋 Description

• Leading a group of engineers, taking responsibility for both their delivery and development.

• Foster a culture and process of continuous improvement within the team.

• Accountable for the professional well-being and career progression of team members.

• Guide engineers through regular one-on-ones, growth plans, performance evaluations, and constructive feedback.

• Engage in coding and conduct code reviews.

• Steer the team's architectural and technical design choices.

• Maintain a structured routine of planning, prioritization, and delivery.

• Oversee hiring processes for your team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.

• At least 4 years in engineering management roles where coding was part of your duties.

• Practical, hands-on experience in building cloud-based SaaS solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Strong expertise in databases, SQL, query optimization, and BigQuery.

• Proven track record of transforming an engineering team in a visible manner.

• Extensive technical proficiency in your team's primary technology stack.

• Well-formed opinions on the operation of high-performing engineering teams.

• Exceptional judgment in high-pressure situations.

• Direct and transparent communication skills.
