
Engineering Manager – Agent & Developer Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Lead a team of 4–6 engineers in developing Ledgy’s agent and developer platform.
• Establish technical direction and foster an environment that allows engineers to perform at their best.
• Oversee build and deployment pipelines, optimizing them for both human and AI-agent workflows.
• Manage GCP infrastructure, Terraform configuration, monitoring, alerting, and service-level objectives (SLOs).
• Collaborate with the CISO to define and implement Ledgy’s security strategy.
• Construct AI infrastructure and foundational elements for the agent-platform, including MCP interfaces, agent identity and access models, audit logging, dry-run environments, and sandboxes.
• Support the development of direct reports through consistent 1:1 meetings, career development discussions, and performance evaluations.
• Influence platform strategy in partnership with the Head of Engineering and the CTO.
• Enhance pipeline reliability and speed, improve developer experience, increase deployment velocity, and boost infrastructure reliability.
• Drive engineering initiatives that affect how the organization delivers software.
• Strong vision for contemporary platform engineering incorporating AI agents in writing, testing, and deploying code alongside human engineers.
• Extensive experience in CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
• Proven track record in building scalable observability, deployment automation, developer experience, and infrastructure-as-code systems.
• Security-focused mindset in platform engineering, particularly regarding AI-agent access to production systems and sensitive financial information.
• Experience in nurturing engineers and facilitating their professional growth.
• Practical experience with Terraform, pipeline debugging, shipping enhancements, and AI tools.
• A minimum of 3 years in Engineering Management.
• At least 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer, including significant roles in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, tRPC, Node.js, MongoDB, Temporal, GCP, Terraform Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
• Successful completion of live coding, system design, mock 1:1s, and culture and vision interviews.
