Engineering Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Build and expand a high-performing engineering team.

• Manage daily engineering operations: sprint execution, technical standards, and capacity management.

• Promote technical excellence through architectural decisions, code quality, and production reliability.

• Serve as the main point of escalation for technical challenges and delivery risks.

• Collaborate with the SVP on recruitment, team growth, and strategic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering roles.

• Over 3 years of experience leading engineering teams (including hiring, performance management, and accountability for delivery).

• Hands-on experience with modern data stacks (preferably cloud-based data warehouses).

• Proven track record of executing complex data platform projects.

• Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments.

• Proficient in reviewing code, troubleshooting production issues, and making informed architectural decisions.
