This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist with the onboarding process for new students and their families through engagement sessions, email communication, welcome contacts, orientations, and Q&A sessions.
• Address inquiries and resolve obstacles for learning coaches and students.
• Collaborate with the Compass Team, teachers, staff, and administrators to coordinate student support.
• Oversee assigned student caseloads, identify needs, provide tailored support, and connect students and families with appropriate resources.
• Conduct student conferences and support sessions to track progress, encourage engagement, address challenges, and foster academic success.
• Create email and newsletter resources for students and families.
• Offer social-emotional learning resources.
• Facilitate weekly Continuing Care sessions for peer engagement, support, and Q&A.
• Develop and maintain resources for students.
• Record support and communication efforts with students and families.
• Utilize engagement, attendance, academic, and participation data to inform and modify interventions.
• Attend meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
• Assist in the coordination and administration of assessments, including make-up testing.
• Engage in school activities and initiatives that promote engagement, family connection, academic success, and program objectives.
• Carry out other related program responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be a resident of California.
• Previous experience working with at-risk youth.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to manage and complete multiple projects accurately and on schedule.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with students and adults.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to assigned events.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with student information systems and/or database software.
• Experience in moderating web meetings for both small and large groups.
• Flexible schedule is required.
• Ability to travel within and between assigned geographic areas for student support, meetings, state exams, school activities, and orientations.
• Capacity to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
