This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Become a part of our team as an Energy Engineer III, where you will assist clients in identifying, measuring, and implementing energy-saving strategies across a diverse array of facilities.
• Facilitate energy conservation initiatives, perform engineering analyses, compute energy savings, and contribute to utility-driven programs.
• Execute energy audits, assessments, and engineering studies in commercial, institutional, and industrial settings, with a particular focus on industrial environments.
• Recognize energy conservation measures and determine savings using engineering principles such as thermodynamics, mechanics, fan laws, and energy-use analysis.
• Aid in Measurement & Verification activities, including data collection, analysis of energy consumption data, and reporting on energy and demand savings.
• Create clear technical reports and recommendations that articulate energy-saving opportunities and their anticipated impact.
• Assist with site visits for audits, studies, coaching, and the installation or removal of data loggers, collaborating with qualified trades as necessary.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Process Engineering)
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
• Over 5 years of experience in energy management, energy engineering, or a related area
• Practical experience in conducting energy audits, engineering studies, or energy conservation projects
• Familiarity with a variety of facility types, ideally including industrial sites
• Capability to manage work independently with minimal oversight
• Willingness to travel nationwide (20%)
• Measurement & Verification certification, such as CMVP or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience with energy data logging, sub-metering, interval data, or metering equipment (preferred)
• Background supporting utility-driven demand-side management (DSM) or energy conservation programs (preferred)
• Experience in a consulting, energy services, utility, or similar energy conservation environment (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
