This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assist in delivering consulting projects as part of the Energy & Environment Team.
• Engage in research, modeling, and analysis for energy and net zero initiatives.
• Conduct data analysis, primarily utilizing Excel.
• Create high-quality reports and presentations tailored for clients.
• Aid in business development efforts by crafting proposals, identifying potential opportunities, and promoting the business.
• Ensure quality assurance for projects and technical outputs.
• Develop and sustain robust client relationships.
• Participate in project management, bid writing, stakeholder engagement, and client relationship management.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the consultancy to support business objectives and explore future opportunities.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or possession of a PhD.
• Degree in a STEM field, or in economics/finance with experience applying these skills to decarbonization or sustainability projects and technologies.
• Proven knowledge and understanding of the energy and environment sectors.
• Proficient Excel skills and data visualization expertise.
• Ability to solve problems independently and develop structured methodologies.
• Capability to efficiently generate high-quality reports and documentation.
• Ability to convey technical results to a diverse audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Broad technical acumen and a sincere interest in decarbonization, sustainability, and low carbon solutions.
• Desirable: a PhD or a Master’s degree in finance or a relevant technical field.
• Desirable: Chartered status or actively pursuing chartership.
• Desirable: completion of project management certifications, such as PRINCE2 or APM.
• Desirable: familiarity with GIS and programming languages, such as Python.
• Desirable: experience in a consultancy setting.
• Desirable: background in district heat networks, carbon accounting, energy system modeling, local area energy planning, or net zero financing.
