Energy Assessor II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Perform daily residential energy audits according to all program specifications under the supervision of the Field Coordinator.

• Travel to clients’ residences and utilize mobile weatherization software along with handheld tablets.

• Conduct thorough audits that include blower-door testing and Combustion Appliance Zone assessments.

• Gather detailed data, complete necessary paperwork, and manage the uploading/downloading of required forms and documents.

• Interact with various databases.

• Install energy-efficient devices and implement direct-install measures.

• Inform customers about low- and no-cost energy conservation strategies.

• Develop customer action plans aimed at saving energy and cutting costs.

• Refer clients to additional service programs as needed.

• Maintain an accurate daily inventory of supplies.

• Communicate project objectives and present a positive representation of project partners.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Achieve project deliverables and adhere to deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• BPI Analyst certification | BA_T (mandatory).

• Familiarity and understanding of residential energy audits and direct install measures.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Exercise sound judgment and prioritize safety at all times.

• Capable of leading, motivating, and establishing a positive rapport with customers.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

• Comfortable working in urban and rural environments with diverse populations.

• Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as required.

• Proficient in learning and utilizing new technology (e.g., handheld data devices).

• Physical capability to bend, stoop, and reach.

• Must possess a current valid driver’s license with no restrictions and maintain a good driving record.

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Skilled at responding to a variety of challenges in the field, solving problems, and meeting project deliverables in a timely manner.
