This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Prospecting and Lead Generation: You will seek out and nurture potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and utilizing networking opportunities.
• Relationship Building: Develop and sustain robust relationships with clients, fostering long-term partnerships while ensuring customer satisfaction and renewals.
• Client Consultations: Engage with clients to comprehend their energy requirements, risk tolerance, and determine how 5 can best meet their needs.
• Continuously Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive offerings to pinpoint opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Sales Presentations: Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations that effectively articulate the benefits of energy products and services to prospective clients, while projecting an executive-level demeanor.
• Negotiation and Closing: Proactively address client concerns and objections, with the ultimate aim of finalizing sales and meeting revenue targets.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work alongside internal teams, including operations and management, to guarantee a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with overarching business objectives.
• CRM Management: Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track leads, manage accounts, and enhance the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the energy sector (retail gas and/or electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in B2B outside sales.
• Proven experience in identifying new business opportunities via prospecting, networking, and other channels.
• Ability to thrive with a high degree of autonomy while embracing a collaborative sales process, showcasing resilience and an unwavering commitment to success.
• Proven capability to work effectively within a team while independently driving sales initiatives, contributing to both personal and collective achievements.
• Demonstrated ambition, passion, teamwork, and perseverance.
• BA/BS degree is preferred.
• Base salary plus commission with uncapped earning potential.
