• Lead the employee relations and leave of absence initiatives for a large, multi-location veterinary organization.
• Collaborate closely with hospital leadership, HR, and legal teams to address workplace issues.
• Provide support to veterinary hospitals through employee relations advice, investigations, and resolving workplace challenges.
• Manage leave of absence and accommodation programs (including FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves, etc.).
• Ensure fairness, compliance, and consistency throughout various hospital settings.
• Identify trends and proactively enhance the employee experience across clinics.
• Robust HR background with extensive experience in employee relations and leave management.
• Confidence in navigating complex, multi-site environments (veterinary experience is highly preferred).
• Expertise in addressing sensitive workplace matters with fairness and empathy.
• Strong understanding of employment laws (including FMLA, ADA, etc.).
• Ability to collaborate with leaders who may not be HR specialists but are genuinely invested in their teams.
• A calm and practical approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments.
