This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Assist the Michael Kors Retail North America team by fostering strong relationships with team members and leaders to enhance positive employee relations.
• Offer consultation, guidance, and coaching solutions to field teams to ensure proper handling and resolution of employee relations issues, while advising on policies and procedures.
• Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, tracking cases using internal case management software.
• Collaborate with the legal department to recommend and approve performance management action plans.
• Oversee the disciplinary process for employees and implement corrective action in collaboration with field leadership.
• Collect and analyze employee relations data to identify emerging trends.
• Assess training and development needs to improve employee experience and performance.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employment practices.
• Conduct exit interviews for voluntary terminations; analyze trends and propose solutions.
• Generate reports on exit interviews, hotline calls, and corrective action documentation.
• Manage confidential information appropriately and escalate issues as necessary.
• Support global HR initiatives across the company.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2-3 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, or a related HR function.
• Proven experience in addressing employee relations issues and navigating labor laws.
• Knowledge and practical application of all HR disciplines and practices.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and resolving conflicts.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
