Embedded Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Abstract and consolidate essential functions into reusable libraries and frameworks.

• Extract existing features from application code and refactor them for shared utilization.

• Design and implement an input/output framework that supports multiple protocols and data interfaces.

• Define and maintain data dictionaries along with I/O level specifications.

• Collaborate with system architects to uphold ARINC-653 partitioning integrity.

• Assist in certification activities by providing HLR/LLR documentation and ensuring DAL compliance.

• Contribute to the long-term strategy for a scalable and maintainable software infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded software development and/or testing.

• Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design tailored for embedded systems.

• Familiarity with I/O architecture, protocol management, and data handling.

• Experience in developing certifiable software, with DO-178 DAL A preferred.

• Expertise in HLR/LLR generation, review, and traceability processes.

• A quick learner who exhibits strong initiative and motivation.
