Elementary School Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the delivery of designated course material in a virtual setting

• Offer instruction, assistance, and guidance to students

• Oversee the learning journey while prioritizing individual student requirements

• Track student advancement through Stride K12’s learning management platform

• Collaborate closely with students and parents/learning coaches to enhance educational outcomes

• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences

• Tailor learning experiences to meet the needs of all students

• Differentiate teaching methods based on student understanding

• Enhance course materials using suitable asynchronous and synchronous resources under the guidance of principals and coaches

• Keep the grade book updated and uphold academic integrity

• Make decisions regarding student placements and promotions

• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress

• Prepare students for important standardized assessments

• Build and sustain positive relationships with families

• Communicate promptly and effectively with students and learning coaches/parents

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting

• Travel as necessary, averaging once a month and/or up to 20% of the time, for professional development, student assessments, and school requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• Required: North Carolina Elementary School Teaching Certification

• Must reside in North Carolina

• Bachelor's degree is necessary

• Active state teaching license required

• Capable of passing a required background check

• Ability to work autonomously, typically exceeding 40 hours per week

• Must maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours

• Skill in interpreting and generating numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data

• Proficient in utilizing student data to inform instructional decisions

• Open to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers

• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to achieve outstanding student results

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms

• Experience with the targeted age group is preferred

• Background in aiding adults and children with technology use is preferred

• Previous experience in online/virtual and/or traditional classroom settings is preferred

• Familiarity with online learning platforms is preferred
