This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Propel Business Expansion: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, launch new products/services, and contribute to regional sales, order volume, profitability, and ITO quality objectives.
• Provide Technical Solutions: Design and present technical solutions that align with customer requirements, influence specifications, and create high-quality proposal content that emphasizes scope, advantages, and compliance.
• Oversee Project & Proposal Implementation: Offer technical direction for Field Service proposals, including site evaluations, material/labor needs, competitive assessments, and support for engineering work scopes, timelines, and cost projections.
• Ensure Operational Cohesion: Relay fulfillment needs to sourcing and operations, document competitor activities, and assist NPI programs to sustain a robust market position.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering or Electrical Engineering) from an accredited institution with 6 years of experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience (preferably involving Power Distribution upgrades, Relay upgrades, and Arc Flash Mitigation Solutions).
• Experience in application engineering or field engineering related to power delivery products and systems, with a background in customer engagement in the Oil & Gas, metals, mining, paper, Power Gen, data center, commercial building, or similar sectors preferred.
• Familiarity with reviewing customer specifications, crafting proposals, and managing contract development and negotiations preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in delivering impactful presentations and interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities with a customer-centric focus; skilled at collaborating in team-oriented settings to develop complex, integrated solutions.
• Innovative problem solver with a creative approach to challenges, capable of formulating and drafting technical specifications and proposals utilizing the entire ABB portfolio.
• Candidates must possess valid work authorization that allows them to be employed by ABB in the US.
