Electrification M&A Growth Strategy, Origination Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Identify the areas where inorganic growth should focus to bolster long-term segment strategy.

• Lead the creation and ongoing enhancement of the Electrification inorganic growth gameboard.

• Detect strategic gaps and opportunities across: Product and technology capabilities, Geographic coverage, Vertical integration, Adjacent and emerging growth sectors.

• Collaborate with business line strategy teams to ensure coherence between organic roadmaps and inorganic priorities.

• Establish clear investment theses and “right-to-win” rationale for prioritized focus areas.

• Develop a distinct, proactive pipeline of potential targets and partners.

• Collaborate with Corporate BD to pinpoint potential acquisition, minority investment, and partnership targets well in advance of formal procedures.

• Spearhead the formulation of outreach strategies designed for founders, owners, and executive teams.

• Ensure that only strategically compelling opportunities progress into formal M&A processes.

• Act as the segment strategy lead during due diligence, working closely with Corporate BD, Finance, and the Integration & Value Creation leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge/experience.

• Extensive experience in strategy, business development, M&A, or similar leadership roles (equivalent to 15+ years of experience).

• Demonstrated experience in proactive, thesis-driven M&A or partnership development.

• In-depth industry knowledge in Electrification, Electrical Power Grids, and Electro-Intensive sectors.

• Experience in complex, matrixed global organizations.

• Capability to convert strategy into actionable inorganic priorities.

• Sufficient financial and business acumen to formulate early value theses.
