Electrical Hardware Design Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Support the development of electrical schematics and the layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs).

• Conduct hands-on testing, debugging, and initial setup of prototype electrical printed circuit assemblies (PCAs) and systems.

• Investigate and choose electrical components considering performance, cost, and availability factors.

• Create and manage engineering documentation, which includes bills of materials (BOMs), testing plans, and assembly guidelines.

• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to address hardware-related challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required.

• 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience or significant internship experience in electrical hardware design.

• Hands-on experience or familiarity with industry-standard design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD Capture, or Mentor PADS is strongly preferred.

• Practical experience with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, and soldering tools.

• A basic understanding of circuit analysis, signal troubleshooting, and PCA hardware testing methodologies.
