Electrical Engineer – Microgrids

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the electrical engineering design for innovative microgrids, industrial power systems, and projects related to renewable energy integration.

• Develop detailed CAD drawings, adhere to stringent project timelines, and ensure that engineering outputs conform to high technical standards.

• Plan and draft intricate electrical systems, including low- and medium-voltage power distribution, generation integration, and essential facility switchgear.

• Conduct thorough electrical calculations and Power System Studies using SKM or ETAP software.

• Collaborate directly with asset owners, electric utilities, cross-disciplinary engineering leads, procurement teams, and construction personnel.

• Offer construction administration and commissioning assistance, including technical reviews of Bills of Material (BOM), submittal assessments, and final completion documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or its equivalent.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering design, with a focus on industrial power systems, heavy infrastructure, microgrids, or renewable energy integration.

• Required proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is advantageous); hands-on experience with SKM or ETAP modeling software is strongly preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC/IEEE C2), and widely accepted protective relaying philosophies.
