
Electrical Engineer III β Data Center Load Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
β’ Accountable for the design of electrical systems and conducting design calculations.
β’ Responsible for the review, signing, and sealing of projects.
β’ Evaluate submittals, RFIs, change orders, prepare record drawings, conduct site visits, perform inspections, and engage in commissioning activities.
β’ Develop and revise electrical equipment specifications, select appropriate equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
β’ Ensure that projects are completed accurately, within established deadlines, and adhere to budget constraints.
β’ Over 4 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering design within the construction sector.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
β’ A valid Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license.
β’ Familiarity with load planning and programming is advantageous.
β’ Coding experience is a plus.
β’ Proven experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial office spaces, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other substantial commercial projects.
β’ Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and mentor junior personnel.
β’ Strong knowledge of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
β’ Advanced understanding of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems, along with interactive generator control systems.
β’ Experience in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
β’ Capacity to think strategically and demonstrate adaptability to achieve long-term objectives.
β’ Self-driven, comfortable with uncertainty, and eager to collaborate within a team environment.
β’ Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
