This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Oversee and Manage the Production of Electrical Engineering Documents (50%)
• Conduct intermediate to advanced engineering tasks independently
• Execute intermediate to advanced electrical design activities under the guidance of a senior engineer
• Carry out intermediate to advanced computations and analyses for electrical systems
• Use AutoCAD and Revit software to generate drawings and visual materials
• Review and draft sequences of operations
• Oversee and Manage Pre-Construction Activities (15%)
• Assess current building conditions and create technical reports of findings
• Gather data and other information for construction documentation
• Develop project design and construction documentation
• Oversee and Manage Construction Activities (25%)
• Collaborate as part of the engineering team and closely interact with the project management team
• Engage directly with clients on technical matters
• Review shop drawings and submissions
• Respond to RFIs and review them
• Complete punch lists and project closeout documentation
• Reporting (10%)
• Create project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Update and maintain the shop drawing and RFI log
• Track personal hours utilizing company tools
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• At least five years of experience in electrical engineering
• Familiarity with electrical systems used in buildings, including single/three phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding, and life safety systems
• Understanding of codes and specifications for designing electrical systems, including National Electric Code, Life Safety, and Energy Conservation Codes
• Proficient in technical/design software, including short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, equipment sizing, underground feeder calculations, and lighting calculations
• Competent in producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit
• Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Skilled in conducting code analysis, including the selection of equipment, wiring, etc., to comply with code requirements
• Capable of leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
• Ability to succeed in a remote environment through effective communication, organizational skills, self-motivation, proactivity, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace
