Electrical Engineer – Energy Networks, Distribution Networks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Designing and planning medium- and low-voltage networks (distribution and connection networks)

• Conducting power system analysis and network simulations (load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop)

• Integrating and evaluating EEG installations (e.g., PV, wind, storage)

• Planning and sizing substations and transformer stations

• Assisting clients in the preparation of grid connection applications

• Creating planning documents, concepts, and technical documentation

• Coordinating with grid operators, clients, and project stakeholders

• Contributing to innovative solutions in energy networks (e.g., Smart Grids, grid optimization)

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, or a related field

• Experience in the planning of power supply networks (MV/LV; ideally also HV)

• Proficient knowledge in power system analysis

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (EEG, TAB, VDE guidelines)

• A structured and independent approach to work

• Strong technical comprehension

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team

• Excellent communication abilities

• Fluent in German, both written and spoken

• Preferably, experience in substation planning
