Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Create, adjust, and sustain Ladder Logic for programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

β€’ Integrate and provide support for Allen-Bradley PLC platforms utilizing Rockwell Automation software tools.

β€’ Execute system integration within Studio 5000 / CompactLogix environments (version 21 or later).

β€’ Develop and manage electrical schematics and wiring diagrams through AutoCAD Electrical.

β€’ Assist in the design, review, and troubleshooting of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

β€’ Diagnose electrical and control system problems at both the system and subsystem levels.

β€’ Assemble, test, and validate electrical and control system components.

β€’ Provide support for LabVIEW-based control and data acquisition systems.

β€’ Facilitate technical knowledge transfer and create documentation to support workforce succession.

β€’ Assist with limited FPGA-based integration as needed (not a primary responsibility).

β€’ Convey technical status, risks, and recommendations to engineering and program leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

β€’ Must have experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.

β€’ Demonstrated experience in developing and troubleshooting Ladder Logic-based control systems.

β€’ Proficient in using Rockwell Automation software tools (e.g., Studio 5000 / CompactLogix).

β€’ Experience in developing electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.

β€’ Background in troubleshooting electrical and control system issues.

β€’ Experience in assembling and testing electrical or control system hardware.

β€’ Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills in a technical context.

β€’ Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.

β€’ Experience with LabVIEW-based control systems (preferred).

β€’ Familiarity with FPGA integration or mixed FPGA/PLC environments (preferred).

β€’ Experience in supporting legacy control systems and modernization initiatives (preferred).

β€’ Previous experience in supporting government or defense programs (preferred).
